Site Selection:

Before installing the lift, consider the following:

  • Lift Location: Ensure there is enough space for the lift’s operation and that the area meets the electrical requirements (220V, 30A, single phase). Use available architectural plans to verify dimensions.
  • Overhead Area: Make sure the area is free from overhead obstructions like heaters, electrical lines, doors, and lights.
  • Floor Area: Visually inspect the site for cracks or defects in the concrete.

Floor Requirements:

  • A level floor is essential for proper installation and smooth operation. Small slope variations can be adjusted with shimming.
  • For uneven floors, consider a site survey or pouring a new level concrete slab. New concrete must be cured for at least 30 days.
  • Important Notes:
    • Never install the lift on asphalt or any surface other than concrete.
    • Avoid installing on expansion seams, cracked, or defective concrete.
    • Consult a building architect before installing on a second or elevated floor.
    • Outdoor installation requires special precautions to protect the power unit from the elements.

Concrete Specifications:

  • The lift must be installed on 3,000 PSI reinforced concrete.
  • Minimum requirements for the concrete thickness are 4″ with 3,500 PSI.
